OK so its here! The Blackstonian Messageboard Where folks from the community can come and discuss, reason & build, develop strategies and organize. I'm sure that in the process someone will get cussed out as well, someone will fall in love and maybe, just maybe we might learn a thing or two. No rules other than keep it reasonably civil, I am not the thought police but I'm also not into empty threats, porno emails and illegal activity talk. I am sure we will develop the boundaries as we all test them. Dont worry if you go too far I will moderator smack you back in place Peace your friendly neighborhood blackstonian moderator

Alright i figured out how to post a message. Here it is (no nuts, eh?) well i'm working with this group called Jericho Boston, part of the national Jericho organization, with the mission of freeing up political prisoners held here in the u.s. Many of these people have been in for 30+ years now, most were framed up in the death of a cop, where a cop was shot and the court system/ federal govt. just picked a uppity negro who was organizing in the community to take the fall. Such is the case with Bashir Hameed, who was a Panther organizer back in the Black Panther Party's salad days, very effective at bringing his community together. Very humble and thorough man of the people. Of course he became a natural target of the establishment when they realized black people could not only survive, but thrive and prosper without any help or handouts from the 'great white massa.'
Bashir is a muslim brother who's as old as your grandfather, very peaceful and community minded and they've locked him up with no intention of letting him walk out of prison alive. The MOVE organization has commented that if you lock someone up for the rest of their life, that in effect is a slow death sentence. That's what this system is trying to do to Bashir and the other (90 or so) political prisoners in U.S. jails.
It would be really swell if we could generate 300 phone calls to Comstock Prison on behalf of Bashir Hameed and get him out of the hole, which i'm sure you're all aware of is aka solitary confinement. Why are they f**king with this old man who's doing life in prison, isn't being in prison enough punishment already? The 'political contraband' they're referring to is pictures from a Black Panther Party reunion event. Because he got sent pictures in the mail of a BPP reunion, they put him in isolation. The real mindf**k is, the prison mail censors allowed the pictures through, so the censors didn't feel the pictures constituted 'political contraband.' But some other sadistic guard (or guards) decided Mr. Hameed was a little too happy looking at pictures of old friends...
So if i could be so bold as to suggest each person who reads this pick up the phone (i know everyone has free nights and weekends on their cell phones so its not like you're paying for the long distance call) and call the prison like they're asking down below. While you're at it, get everyone in your house to call, one after the other, and ask em real nice to let Bashir out of solitary, and stop f**king with an old man who prays to god 5 times a day.
peace.

Greetings Friends
I received a call from a friend of Bashir Hameed early this a.m. 1/20/07. He said that "last night (1/19/07) when Bashir was at prayer his cell was turned out and his papers were confiscated and when he returned he was locked down in his cell and notified that the guards had found and taken "political contraband" from his cell."
This is the third time since Bashir has been in Comstock prison that the prison administration ordered a raid on his cell and charged him with having "Polical Contraband" -papers- in his cell.
We are asking that you call the prison and ask what is meant by "political contraband" and if they have the time to raid his cell why don't they have the time to give him his monthly checkup's and blood work since his open heart surgery?
